Marvel Multiverse Table Top Role-Playing Game - Summer 2023

  A new Marvel TTRPG is heading our way for Summer 2023. I have some really fond memories of the Marvel Superheroes Roleplaying game put out by TSR in the 1980's. It was right along side Dungeons & Dragons as one of my introductory games to ttrpgs. This new game looks to be based purely on a six-sided dice system. The playtest rulebook for the game is available now for anyone who wants to run an early version of the game through its paces before the finalized version comes out next year. I'll admit I'm curious enough make that purchase myself. Hey, Watch It! - Science Channel: Alien Encounters, Tues. March 13, 10pm ET/PT -

I've been watching a lot of the Science Channel lately. They already had my attention with the Oddities program and the first Idiot Abroad, now with additional new programs I'm finding myself locked in. A new show is debuting tomorrow Tuesday March 13th, called Alien Encounters. Tuesday's program will be the first of a two part exploration of aliens may communicate with us here on Earth. Nick Sagan, son of the Carl Sagan, is one of the experts in the program along with Dr. Jill Tarter from the SETI Institute.

Science Channel has been able to balance education and entertainment in their programming in an effective manner.

Here is the official show description from the Science Channel:

Part 1- The Message premieres on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 PM (ET/PT)
Part 2- The Arrival premieres on Tuesday, March 20 at 10 PM (ET/PT)
In two dramatic hours, ALIEN ENCOUNTERS lays out a plausible hypothetical scenario for a first contact event. What would really happen if we got a message from space?
