Marvel Multiverse Table Top Role-Playing Game - Summer 2023

  A new Marvel TTRPG is heading our way for Summer 2023. I have some really fond memories of the Marvel Superheroes Roleplaying game put out by TSR in the 1980's. It was right along side Dungeons & Dragons as one of my introductory games to ttrpgs. This new game looks to be based purely on a six-sided dice system. The playtest rulebook for the game is available now for anyone who wants to run an early version of the game through its paces before the finalized version comes out next year. I'll admit I'm curious enough make that purchase myself. Video Game News: Phoenix Wright & Nova Confirmed for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Yesterday Capcom confirmed two new playable characters in the upcoming Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. On the Capcom side, attorney-at-law, Phoenix Wright is now on the roster, on the Marvel side cosmic superhero Nova is the new addition.

Attendees at New York Comic Con can try out the new characters. For those not attending NYCC I have included trailers below so you can see the fighting styles for the respective combatant. Nova behaves just as I thought he would in a fighting game. However Phoenix Wright is just awesome to watch, since the character isn't from a game with any kind of combat I wasn't sure how they were going to fit him in and still be true to the character.

I have the first version of MvC3 and I'll be picking up this Ultimate version when it hits the shelves.
