Marvel Multiverse Table Top Role-Playing Game - Summer 2023

A new Marvel TTRPG is heading our way for Summer 2023. I have some really fond memories of the Marvel Superheroes Roleplaying game put out by TSR in the 1980's. It was right along side Dungeons & Dragons as one of my introductory games to ttrpgs. This new game looks to be based purely on a six-sided dice system. The playtest rulebook for the game is available now for anyone who wants to run an early version of the game through its paces before the finalized version comes out next year. I'll admit I'm curious enough make that purchase myself. Here is the official press release from Marvel:  MARVEL LAUNCHING CORE RULEBOOK FOR NEW TABLETOP ROLE-PLAYING GAME IN SUMMER 2023   ‘MARVEL MULTIVERSE ROLE-PLAYING GAME: CORE RULEBOOK’ AVAILABLE JUNE 2023   FOLLOWED BY ‘MARVEL MULTIVERSE ROLE-PLAYING GAME: THE CATACLYSM OF KANG’ AVAILABLE JULY 2023     Use the D616 game system to embody your favorite Super Heroes and Super Villains!     New York, NY— August 22, 2022 –  New adventu

New York Comic Con 2011 - Program Highlights

I've gone over the program schedule for the 2011 New York Comic Con these are my schedule highlights. The things I would attend if I were there... which I hope to be next year. Tomorrow the show gets into swing for all ticket holders, so hopefully this list isn't too late for you if you are heading out to NYCC 2011 this weekend.

This is a huge convention and there is no way you can do it all. There are so many more worth panels, seriously I could make a list with three times the content and still not cover everything worthy. This is just a high level list to give you an idea of what's in store.

At the convention site you can search through all the screenings and panels and create your own custom calendar for the week.

The Early Works of Jim Henson panel – Presented by Archaia Entertainment
Room 1A15

I know a lot of people like to shop the expo floor for deals on the last day of a convention, but make time to see this panel out of all the rest. At least I would. See a display of rare photographs, historical material, and a presentation by the Henson archivist, Karen Falk. The event will lead up to an exciting announcement from Archaia and The Henson Company about their collaboration on Tale of Sand, an deeply ambitious graphic novel based off of a long lost screenplay by Jim Henson, which was recently uncovered by Falk. Karen Falk and Archaia Editor-in-Chief Stephen Christy will be giving attendees an advance look at the book, including stunning art from artist Ramon Perez.
