Marvel Multiverse Table Top Role-Playing Game - Summer 2023

A new Marvel TTRPG is heading our way for Summer 2023. I have some really fond memories of the Marvel Superheroes Roleplaying game put out by TSR in the 1980's. It was right along side Dungeons & Dragons as one of my introductory games to ttrpgs. This new game looks to be based purely on a six-sided dice system. The playtest rulebook for the game is available now for anyone who wants to run an early version of the game through its paces before the finalized version comes out next year. I'll admit I'm curious enough make that purchase myself. Video: More Revealed from Batman: Year One DVD

A full clip has now been revealed from the upcoming Batman: Year One DVD. DC Comics DVD's have a consistently good level of animation, artwork and story quality. They do well in adapting some of their classics to the small screen, at a higher level of quality then you find in Saturday morning fare. The pacing and length of time given to tell the story is often the nail in the coffin for some of these DVD's All Star Superman being a glaring example. It gets tough to cram in multiple issues of story and character within the standard run time for a feature. It makes me wish they would just extend these into DVD series.. if it takes 3 DVDs to tell the story put in the time to do so. If its good work people will buy it I'm sure. The anime market hasn't suffered from storylines extending past one disc or set of discs.
